How A Pet Identity Tag Saved A Life

Today, we received a call from a lady called Carol. She phoned to let us know a story that happened last week.

Carol's pet labrador Joey rarely strays. In fact, he has never left the garden on his own accord and Carol never had any worry that one day he would. Carol went outside to check on Joey and found that the garden gate was open. She obviously searched the garden hoping that Joey would not have left it, why would he, he ever had before? Unfortunately, Carol could not find him and starting frantically searching the lane in which they lived. She searched for about an hour and then came home, upset and incredibly worried. Joey had never been out alone before and didn't have any road sense. She rang friends and family and asked them to help look for Joey. By 10:00pm that night, Joey had still not been found and obviously Carol was getting more & more frantic. They had no choice but to wait until morning to continue searching for him.

The next day, Carol's son made up posters and put them up all around the local town hoping someone may spot Joey. Later that evening, Carol received a phone call from a gentleman saying that he had found Joey in one of his barns and that he was safe & well...just hungry and a bit cold. The man stated that he was able to get straight in contact with Carol as Joey had been wearing a Pet ID Tag with all of Carol's contact details on it. Carol pick Joey up and she says that she has put a more secure lock on the garden gate!

Carol wanted us to know this story as Joey had been wearing his Pack Shack Pet ID Tag. She said that without it, Joey may not have been reunited with her and is so thankful she put a tag on him, even though he was only in the garden.

Carol's story clearly points out the need for Pet Identity Tags, even when your pet is at home. We are so happy that one of our tags helped Joey find his way home.
